We are pleased to inform you that the HA Clinical Research Ethics Review Portal (New Portal) will be launched in NTEC on 17 January 2023. All New Application should be submitted via this Portal. The existing submission method (PDF) will only be accepted until the submission deadline in January 2023 (16 January 2023).
The New Portal can be accessed via https://hacrerportal.ha.org.hk (by Chrome or Firefox).
For New/Initial Application:
Existing submission method:
- The current submission method will continue until 16 January 2023.
*It is the Principal Investigator’s responsibility to ensure that the hardcopy and softcopy of the CREC Application Form are submitted to CREC office on or before 16 January 2023.
New Portal submission:
- Starting from 17 January 2023, all new research ethics applications must be submitted via the New Portal and the Joint CREC-NTEC CREC will no longer accept new submissions by using the fillable PDF Form.
- A set of hard copy of Application Form with original signature is also required to submit to CREC.
*Please note that it is the Principal Investigator’s responsibility to ensure that the hardcopy and the New Portal submission is consistent. In the event of any inconsistency, the hardcopy shall prevail.
For Amendments, Ethics Renewal/Completion and Protocol Deviations
For studies that were NOT submitted via New Portal
- All of the post-approval activities should be submitted to CREC in hard copy
- Complete relevant form can be downloaded from http://www.crec.cuhk.edu.hk/download/
- Submit the original signed version of the completed form to the CREC Office with all relevant study documents, if applicable
For studies that are submitted via New Portal
- All of the post-approval activities should be submitted via New Portal and a set of hard copy with original signature should also be submitted
